I traveled all of my working
life and moved many times. As
a volunteer, I am finally able to enjoy that special feeling one gets from contributing to their community, purely for the joy of it.
Plus, associating with others of the same nature is its own reward.
I enjoy giving back to the
community and helping people.
I volunteer with Douglas County Libraries in Highlands Ranch with their events, as well as the “Practice Your English” program for English learners of all levels. They are so eager to participate.
I’m going to give them the best I have got!
I have organized a group
to volunteer for the Town
of Castle Rock POST (Parks, Open Space and Trails) program for the past three years. I enjoy it because we get to work on outdoor projects and help improve the local parks.
I look forward to supporting the Town of Castle Rock for many years to come.
Boy Scout Troop 870 and
Venture Crew 870 volunteer
with the Highlands Ranch Metro District. It is a great feeling to be able to give back to our community.
While we have numerous service projects throughout the year, helping with the Metro District/Littleton Fire Department Ice Cream Social is definitely one of our favorites!
We enjoy helping to maintain
Gateway Mesa Open Space.
Volunteers are only as
effective as the direction
they receive from their great volunteer coordinators! I will be watching for more chances to help my community.
I am a Castle Rock volunteer
involved in the Colorado Bluebird
Project. It gets me outside which I love and helps the community. Plus, it is cool watching the bluebird chicks grow and fledge.
I am also an avid cyclist and volunteer to help maintain three mountain bike trails. My time and work helps build these into fun trails for others to enjoy.
I volunteer because, not only
is it lots of fun, but I believe
it is also a responsibility of each and every one of us to give back to our community. Volunteering is a fundamental aspect of my life.
Volunteering is our favorite
activity to do as a family.
Not only is it something fun that bonds us together, it also makes a difference in our community. Volunteering also offers bonuses in the areas of teaching our children responsibility, generosity and compassion.
We can’t think of a better way to spend our time together!
I volunteer because it just feels
right, because I like to give back,
and because I’ve always done it ever since I was young. It is just so rewarding.
I volunteer in order to have
something to do that’s rewarding.
I get to meet new people I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to otherwise.
I have learned a lot I didn’t know about what good, modern libraries do. There’s a humongous job of work to be done in the library. Checking out books is only a very small part!
