Zoology Foundation

The Zoology Foundation’s mission is: To improve the lives of animals through educational programming and rescue, and by teaching the connectedness between animals and humans. Education, rescue, and support are the three main tenants of Zoology Foundation. ZOFO believes in order to get to the point where animals are treated with respect and regarded as gifts to the planet and ourselves, we must start with educating the future generations and changing the current way of thinking. We believe that education is one solution to a better understanding of animals as living, feeling beings that deserve the dignity of a cruelty free life. We offer a variety of humane education programs throughout the year such as tours, camps, school groups, youth volunteer days, and more! ZOFO also provides financial aid to other organizations that are making a difference in the lives of animals.

ZOFO is home to around 140 animals with only 3 full time staff members. Because of this volunteers are crucial! We offer volunteer roles in animal care, education, and special events. All volunteers must complete a two hour orientation and commit to at least 2 hours a week for at least 3 months. For more information please email our Animal Care Specialist/Volunteer Coordinator, Anna Miller, at amiller@zoologyfoundation.org.
